Slow walks from the cabin

Small groups, no more than twelve. Book by email or at the counter. All of them finish back here, and the price includes something hot.

Dogs are welcome on the dawn chorus and mushroom walks if they are quiet. Not on forest-bathing, sorry.

  1. First Sunday of the month, 05:30 (April to July)

    Dawn chorus walk

    An hour in the wood with a local birder, then porridge and coffee back at the cabin while the kettle catches up.

    $ 12, breakfast included

  2. Third Saturday of the month, 10:00

    Forest-bathing Saturday

    Two slow hours of walking, sitting and not talking much, led by a qualified guide. Phones stay in the bag.

    $ 18

  3. Saturdays in October, 09:30

    Mushroom walk

    Looking, not picking. A mycologist shows you what grows on the trail and what definitely should not go in a pan.

    $ 15
